After discussing our weather (as Kevin melts) we move on to how Mike broke his internet to make it better. Telling how his NETGEAR Orbi Home Mesh WiFi System improved his internet he then tells about a weird issues he is having with his wife’s computer.

Then Mike tells about his new purchase a 42 mm Apple Watch GPS which then leads to a discussion about a problem Mike was having. From there we listen to Elisa tell about a problem she is having with the Apple Watch/Messages which morphs in looking at settings and things to do with the watch. Elisa talks a little about the Apple Heart Study.

We finish up the podcast with our picks. Melissa tries to get rid of stress with the Breo iDream5 Electric Shiatsu Kneading Eye and Head Massager. Elisa wants to get her hair dry so she wants a Dyson Hair Dryer. Mike wants to do 3D printing so he wants Flashforge 3D printer.

Getting off to a rough start because of Mike’s internet. We discuss his internet and try to troubleshoot and come up with a solution. We also talk about the weather which makes Mike and Elisa happy. Kevin not so much.

Finally getting to real subjects we show our knowledge (or extreme lack thereof ) about Bitcoin. What’s a bitcoin, how do you get it and how do you use are all questions we still don’t have any answers to.

Next we talk about Mike’s geeky yard tools. This leads to our picks. Mike starts out by what might be his next geek tool purchase, 20V Axis Cordless Reciprocating & Jig Saw. Elisa has a place to put her iPhone and Apple Watch, the HiRise Duet . Also Mike mentions an  iPhone and Apple watch Qi Charger that he bought  recently from Woot (Hmmm why does he need one of them??). Finally Melissa is looking for a place to sit and get work done so she found the Argomax Mesh ergonomic office chair.

This week we have a special guest in Elisa’s absence. We had to find someone impressive to fill her shoes and we think we did, by dragging in, sorry we mean welcoming Guy Serle of our sister podcast the MyMac show.

Next we move into Kevin’s rant about the battery life indicator in iOS 11.3 and he calls BS on it. Guy and Melissa talk him back from the edge a bit. Next is Guy’s topic and the discussion on will Apple move to ARM processors in the Mac. Guy explains his thoughts and how he has maybe changed his mind on the topic. We meander around a bit before Melissa brings us back on topic about the Mac Pro and it being not delayed until 2019.

In our picks we start with Guy and he has a choice near and dear to his heart a microphone, Electro-Voice RE320 Vocal and Instrument microphone. Next is Mike with his insatiable need to game on every platform available he chooses the PS 4 Pro for his on Virtual Reality world. Maybe to get away from us. Then Melissa is up next with the new 2018 iPad. Even though she just bought one in November, not that she is bitter about that. Lastly Kevin goes off the technology reservation and chooses a new N-Scale train set from Bachmann, The Empire Builder.

After the weather report (which delights Kevin) We stroll down memory lane on TV shows that Elisa and Kevin remember and sing about.

Then Kevin gives a brief update on some of the new gadgets he has acquired since the last time he was on the show.

Next we discuss the main focus of the show how to stream podcasts on your Apple Watch.  The trials and tribulations Elisa and Melissa have been going through just figure it out.

We finish up with picks. Melissa says momma needs a NAS and for that she chooses the Synology 2 bay DiskStation. Mike wants to drop his balls, golf balls that is on people so he goes for a drone that has a camera to take photo’s of the area and he picks GoPro Karma with a harness. Don’t ask. Elisa wants to release her inner musician and rock-out with a set of drums so she goes for Drum kit to let her cut lose. Kevin wants to be more of an iOS centric so he goes for a 12.9” iPad Pro 256 GB WiFi model, again.

After the weather report (which mostly sucks unless your Kevin) we get some updates on Elisa’s new iPhone 8 and an end to her iPhoto problems.

Then Elisa says she is going to have her DNA tested which leads to a discussion of how you go about sending your sample in and how Mike might have done it wrong.

And then it’s back to more problems as Melissa has to do some CSI-ing (Computers Stealth Investigating ) as her Macbook is giving some video problems and what she has to do document them and submit them to Apple.

We finish up with picks. Melissa wants a better webcam for video conferencing so she settled on the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 although there is still an Apple iSight camera still available. Then Elisa pulls a last minute switch-a-roo which makes Mike look stupid (so nothing new) and picks MoviePass for watching movies in your local theater. Finally Mike is dreaming of his favorite time of year and chooses a Sorbus Hammock to lounge around outside.

After the weather report (Mike and Elisa are cold and Melissa has the weather they want). After that we go inside baseball and talk about our new recording process. We started using Discord for talking and Piezo for recording.

Then some updates on Elisa’s Apple Watch which leads to a discussion of Apple support and education.

We are shocked to find out Mike actually is from Earth and he has the test to prove it. He discusses his Ancestry.com DNA test results which leads to explore our genealogy and telling different family stories.

Last but by no means least we do our picks. Melissa surprises with an eargasm with the FS Binaural Microphone for those people with hearing good enough to appreciate it. And keeping it in the listening vein Elisa want the Apple Home Pod. Since it’s play money we all might buy but if it was really money we would probably skip it (even Mike the gadget guy). To round it out Mike cheats by adjusting the price on the fly and picks the Myo Gesture Control Armband. This could be used for presentations, disabled people and of gamers.

This week’s episode is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. We start as always with the weather (which for Kevin might be bad).

Then we move on the good. Elisa updates on her Apple Watch saga that will end with her getting a new watch. After that things get ugly. Elisa tells us about her attempt to update to High Sierra (believe me no hilarity ensues). After 4 hours on the phone with Applecare there are still no answers. The tale will continue.

After all that we decide to do some therapeutic shopping. In spite of everything Elisa is still going to stick with Apple and get the iPhone X . Next Melissa takes a stand …. At a desk. The Omega DENALI Adjustable Height Standing Desk to be exact. Then Mike decides to say to heck with it and start playing games on a CyberPowerPC Game Master Desktop Gaming PC

As required by the bylaws of Geekiest Show Ever (We have laws? Who knew) we start out with the weather. After that we start discussing some of the purchases we made. First off is Melissa’s  bright shiny new iPhone 8 Plus. We also talk about the ghosts of iPhones past and different battery and performance issues. Next Elisa tells us of her Apple Watch woes. Her battery percentage on her watch during the podcast was falling faster than the snow in Kevin’s daydreams.  Next we discuss some of Mike’s purchases including an Echo Connect and a Snow Joe Ultra SJ625E 21-Inch 15-Amp Electric Snow Thrower. Melissa mentions a movie called “Why Him” that she thought was really good. Elisa talks about the battery powered led lanterns that she mentioned last show.
